Aristidis Paliouras



Aristidis Paliouras holds a degree in Computer Science from the University of Crete, a Master’s degree in Computer Science (from the Economics University,https://www.aueb.gr/en) and a Master’s Degree in STEM Education (Teaching in Science, Information Technology, Maths and Engineering) from the Pedagogical Department of  A.SP.AI.T.E. (https://www.aspete.gr/index.php/en/).

He has been teaching Computer Science in Primary and Secondary Education since 2000, and since 2017 he is the Director of the 3rd Laboratory Center of East Attica (Technical Vocational School).

He is the author of books on Robotics, Arduino and Scratch 2 and has lectured in Greek and foreign conferences on educational topics. He has been a partner of ITYE DIOFANTOS (http://www.cti.gr/en/) in many projects aimed at developing Learning Objects for Photodento (the Greek Digital Learning Object Repository) concerning the Computer Science Education (Primary and Secondary).

Since 2017 he has been involved in the ITYE DIOFANTOS (http://www.cti.gr/en/) English Language Development Team for the development, maintenance and updating of Learning Objects for Photodentro OER (the Greek Digital Learning Object Repository) concerning the teaching of English Language (Primary and Secondary).

His professional interests lie in the use of ICT in education, STEM methodology and Educational Robotics.

He has participated in several seminars, conferences, workshops and teacher training sessions on topics such as: teacher training, adult education and lifelong learning, distance learning, ICT in education and computing in Primary Education.
